The Basics

The new Fiat 500e Hatchback looks like the iconic small car loved all over the world for so many years. But you won’t find any component in this car that is in the existing petrol version. The new 500e is bigger and uses a new interior, chassis, body and platform. Most obvious and significant, the propulsion is new too. It’s electric only.

Launched in 2021 and designed for the next decade, the new 500e achieves a range of 320km (WLTP Combined), while in strictly urban use one could see ranges of up to 460km. Fast charging capability up to 85kw provides for a full day’s driving in a 5 minutes charge (50km) or reaching 80% of full battery in 35 minutes. Each car is equipped with a Type-3 cable for charging in public charging stations and a convenient 220V charger to use it in an ordinary domestic socket.

There are three driving modes available: in Normal Mode, enjoy a smooth driving, a swift and responsive acceleration demanding no compromise on your driving style. By choosing Range Mode, you are entering in an intelligent driving style that promotes energy efficiency by enabling one-pedal driving to accelerate or decelerate the car. Any time the driver lifts the right foot from the pedal, the car slows down and recovers kinetic energy to regenerate electric power and charge back the battery. To further maximise range efficiency, the Sherpa Mode optimises battery charge level, clima operation, acceleration and speed level in order, reassuring you that you will reach your destination with no worries.

Thanks to its technology, the new 500e is safer than ever: first of all, the new 500 can read the road signs and suggest you what speed you should keep on the specific road. Its Fiat Co-Driver with Lane Control will prevent you from unintentional lane changing, at any speed or traffic condition, and autonomously brake in emergency situations to avoid collisions with other cars, pedestrians or cyclists.

In terms of connectivity, the new 500e is equipped with a wireless charging pad in the center console and Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which enable a safe and optimum use of your mobile phone in the car.
